We started the book drive this winter and were interrupted by the pandemic. We did not know if we would be able to finish the book drive or how ALP would be getting books to Africa.
We waited and finally learned we could still finish our book drive. We waited some more and just this week during Phase 2 reopening finished sorting and packing. We sent 626 books to a secondary school in Malawi. The books first travel to New Orleans where ALP will put them on container ships to Africa.
We are so happy to share the joy of reading!
